Lookout, The (2007)

IMDB rating: 7.40

Plot: An admired high school hockey player (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) with a bright future foolishly takes a drive in the night with his girl friend and two other friends with his headlights off with devastating results. The former athlete is left with a brain injury that prevents him from remembering many things for extended periods of time. To compensate, he keeps notes in a small notebook to aid him in remembering what he is to do. He also lives with a blind friend (Jeff Daniels) who aids him. Obviously, with the mental incapacitation, he is unable to have meaningful work. Thus he works as a night cleaning man in a bank. It is there he comes under the scrutiny of a gang planning to rob the bank. The leader (Matthew Goode) befriends him and gets him involved with a young woman (Isla Fisher) who further reels him in. After they get close and after reeling him in with his own failures, the bank plan unfolds. Confused but wanting to escape his current existence, he initially goes along with the scheme. After realizing he is being used, he attempts to stop the robbery, which of course immediately goes awry. Bruce McGill and Alberta Watson also co-star as the young man’s parents, who still search for the person that was there before the tragic crash.

The Amazing Story of Superman
Look, Up in the Sky: The Amazing Story of Superman (2006)

IMDB rating: 8.00

Plot: In 1938, two aspiring comic strip talents, Jerry Siegal and Joe Shuster, published a character that would create a new genre of fantasy, Superman, the first superhero. This film explores the creation of the character and his subsequent evolution over the decades through various media. With various interviews of noted creative luminaries, the film shows how the character has adapted to the times and bounced back from times when he felt irrelevant to always regain his prominence as one of the great heroes of popular culture.

In the 'Superman' documentary, all living characters of the genre are interviewed except Tom Welling. Why?
In the documentary, "Look, up in the sky!: The amazing story of Superman", all living characters involved with the genre are interviewed except Tom Welling - who is the star of TV’s hit show, ‘Smallville’. Tom Welling has been a major contribution to the genre, and is a major celebrity still living. Why was he not involved? Did he refuse, or was he ignored? Or did other schedules conflict?

that is a pretty glaring omission. I haven’t saw it. was this the same show I saw on a&e a few months ago narrated by kevin spacey? it seems like there were 2 shows like that, one on a&e the other on discovery channel and I’m pretty sure I saw tom welling in one of them.
surely he wouldn’t refuse, and it wouldn’t take that long to get some clips so schedule conflict should be out. maybe he wasn’t because technically he isn’t superman yet.
but I’m sure I have saw him on some superman/superhero doc where he was talking about meeting christoper reeve in that one episode and his(tom’s) part in the grand scheme of things.
I’ll have to rent it

shaney | Dec 11, 2006

Because he is not yet technically Superman. His character is Clark Kent. Until he puts on the red tights, he’s in a whole different world

Does anybody have any ideas for my sculpture project?
I am making a sculpture that is made by taking a flat piece of card board, cutting out shapes, and laying the shape down and cutting out a shape either smaller or larger, but a similar shape and gluing it flat on top of that. then you repeat the process over and over again until you have something that looks like layered cake from the front where all you can see is the zig-zag of the corrugation. maybe this can help ( http://work.nicksoni.com/media/690/chair _1_1.jpg ) sorry for the run-on sentence

A tree would be so cool like that! With the branches protruding in a spiral.
That’s an awesome project! Good luck!

Do at least 40 minutes per day of cardio work out 5 times per week, cut out junk food if there is any. Stick to a programme and you will loose weight.
Bman | Jan 31, 2010

You could try a diet called ketogenic diet which is known to be a very effective way to loose weight. On this kind of diet, you eat only food rich with proteins and fats, and low on carbohydrates. It may sound confusing how taking more fats will help you reduce your body fat, but by eating the types of food mentioned, the body enters a state called ketosis where your main source of energy becomes fat. That way, all the fat that you eat is used as an energy source, as well as your body’s own fat. Many body builders use this kind of diet to considerably lower their body fat.
Ed H | Jan 31, 2010

Keep up the weightlifting! Take a close look at your diet - there may be a lot of hidden sugars in the foods you’re eating. These will definitely cause you to gain weight.

There are a few things you can do. I am 47 and I am in better shape then some guys who are 1/2 my age.
And one of the reasons is I exercise at least 2 times each week. Secondly,
if you are drinking beer and soda, you WILL NOT lose that stomach!
Try drinking more water when you are thirsty. And lastly, do not eat after a certain point in the evening
because you have no way of working it off while your asleep. I exercise with this weightlossdisc
http://www.weightlossdisc.com you should try it

Heat

Heat
Heat (1995)

IMDB rating: 8.10

Plot: Hunters and their prey—Neil and his professional criminal crew hunt to score big money targets (banks, vaults, armored cars) and are, in turn, hunted by Lt. Vincent Hanna and his team of cops in the Robbery/Homicide police division. A botched job puts Hanna onto their trail while they regroup and try to put together one last big ‘retirement’ score. Neil and Vincent are similar in many ways, including their troubled personal lives. At a crucial moment in his life, Neil disobeys the dictum taught to him long ago by his criminal mentor—’Never have anything in your life that you can’t walk out on in thirty seconds flat, if you spot the heat coming around the corner’—as he falls in love. Thus the stage is set for the suspenseful ending….

What a stupid way to arrange a question lol.

Nah I reckon that Terry’s lost the captaincy for good, shame as I think that his personal life should have no effect upon his football career, it’s none of our business what he gets up to in his spare time, as long as he’s fit and ready to play for the club.

Seed of Chucky

Seed of Chucky
Seed of Chucky (2004)

IMDB rating: 5.10

Plot: The killer doll is back! The all-new film is the fifth in the popular series of Chucky (”Child’s Play”) horror comedies. Making his directorial debut is the franchise creator and writer of all five films, Don Mancini. The film introduces Glen (voiced by “The Lord of the Rings” star Billy Boyd), the orphan doll offspring of the irrepressible devilish-doll-come-to-life Chucky (again voiced by series star Brad Dourif) and his equally twisted bride Tiffany (again voiced by Jennifer Tilly). When production starts on a movie detailing the urban legend of his parents’ lethal exploits, Glen heads for Hollywood where he brings his bloodthirsty parents back from the dead. The family dynamics are far from perfect as Chucky and Tiffany go Hollywood and get rolling on a new spree of murderous mayhem; much to gentle Glen’s horror. Chucky can’t believe that his child doesn’t want to walk in his murdering footsteps, and star-struck Tiffany can’t believe that the movie will star her favorite actress, Jennifer Tilly (playing herself), who soon becomes an unwitting hostess to this new family in more ways than one…
